Went for a spin on the ski out of Manly after the kid's sailing. Quite the wind blowing, which made the first half rather fun. Wrapped around the wall of North Head, then ran the gauntlet down to South Head with a 20kt tail wind. Fun. Had to pause as a large naval ship headed out of the harbour. Quite a sight.

Turned to head back only to find the wind building, and quite a slog back in to 25+ kt. Not thrilled to be out there solo without a leg leash. Paddle felt longer than an hour. Wonder if I misread the watch.

Entertainment at sailing in the morning involved diving off the rescue boat to grab a littlie who was having a 'moment' next to an upturned MJ. By complete coincidence, there was a video camera on the starters boat shooting a promotional video that caught the footage. Result!

Stretch and roller session. Ouch!

Had a go and self-releasing the psoas, but difficult to get purchase. Tried the tennis ball trick unsuccesfully, then had a brainwave to try a (bigger) softball. I think I might actually be on to something.

First time Ive stretched to a backbeat of trombone for a while.

Half an hour on the ergo, with half a dozen one minute surges to pass the time. Particularly uninviting outside.

Running 1:10:00 [3]

Easy trot around the river loop to test the legs. Probably would have been quicker in flippers.

Legs not as recovered from HK as I thought. Quads dead and short. Not a massively enjoyable experience to be honest. The usual anterior tightness on the right, and posterior on the left. Right TFL sore. Need to hit the roller.

Whacking 1:30:00 [3]

A return to exercise with a kick-boxing session. Legs OK, just a couple of sore spots. Fun to be back hitting things.
