Kayak 2:00:00 [3]

Banging around on the ski while the kids sailed. They were out on the main harbour, so I got to enjoy paddling along the wall of Middle Head and Grotto.

Tired from yesterday.

Running 4:15:00 [3] 33.0 km (7:44 / km)

Joined Jono & Bull for an old school Berowra-Jerusalem Bay jaunt - an out and back on the nastiest section of the Oxfam course. A nice start from the top of the hill down to Berowra Waters and then the fun bit back up to Cowan, before dropping off the other side in to Jerusalem Bay and up the other side before turning around and doing it backwards.

I always finish this run thinking it was harder than I remembered it to be - even when at the start I said 'this run always turns out harder than I remember'.

Got thru reasonably well - 2:05, 2:10 splits - although cheated on the way back with a stop for a Coke at Berowra Waters. I've eaten in fancy restaurants on (very) few occassion, but I've never come across anything that tops the taste of cold Coke after 3 hrs of running (except maybe the hamburger on Day 5 of XPD).

Running 50:00 [3]

Early morning relaxed dog-a-jog on the NOSH track on the way back from dropping Annika at the station.

The hound's stamina continues to improve, as does his keen-ness to jump in to any water that he comes across. Im getting used to throwing a big wet dog in the back of the car at the end of each run.

Running 1:00:00 [3]

Sometimes its harder than others. I headed out towards Pyrmont for a tempo 10k, but down-graded to extended-intervals 'cause I was tired. Quality in the middle of a busy work day can be hard sometimes. Think I was a bit dehydrated too.

Did 4km (15:50 with a hill and stairs), 2km (7:50), 2km (7:10). Interesting that I felt equally tired whether running fast or slow.

Running 50:00 [3]

The 10 * 400's in 20minutes session. This time on Starkey oval at about 9pm. Having just watched Jonesey's doco on walking to the south pole and back, the intervals felt a bit insignificant.

78's for the first few, then gradually sped up to finish with a 69.

Yoga 50:00 [3]

Shaping up the routine of weekend long run and midweek quality book-ended by hippie stretching.

Discovered that yoga moves involving one legged squats are quite nasty with heavy post-run legs.
