Running 1:30:00 [3]

Camping on the cousin's property 50k south of Oberon. Great setup - no house, but a shipping container for storage, a shelter, water tank, water heater etc on a beautiful clearing in the midst of mature eucalypt.

An easy run on Saturday morning through the eucalypt, felt pretty flat. The usual kangaroo mobs were broken up by a couple of large wild pigs. Kim would be impressed (sceptical?) that I didn't squeal like one.

Easy zen cruise just enjoying the wharf sunshine.

Running 1:05:00 [3]

Started as a slow plod around Pyrmont to loosen the hammies still tired from Sunday. Good sign they are tired I guess as it suggests the running form was OK. Ran in to Jonno however, and ended up running over to woolloomoollo. He is looking pretty fit leading up to UTA. Might head up and crew for him.

Running form has improved quite a lot in a short time from running with the boys. Thanks lads.

Running 2:55:00 [3] 33.2 km (5:16 / km)

Minigaine at Cronulla.

Quick off the mark with Brooner setting the pace. I hung off a bit, with Andy hanging a bit further still (sensibly). First section was a fast loop around the Cronulla headland footpath. Don't think Ive ever orienteered thru so many people.

Second section was up to the famous Wanda sandhills. Getting there on the sandy trail was probably harder than the hill itself. Some different route choices, and I think I came out ahead of the lads.

A flat road linking section to the bottom of the map, and a hillier loop to finish. Was pretty happy with how I had been moving, but started to tire at about 27km. With half an hour ago I decided to skip one checkpoint and grab a coke from the shop instead (it would have been tight anyway), and plodded back in 'get home' mode. NIce to feel a little fitness returning.

Great use of the area by course setter Steve.
