A solid session on the ski for Tom's winter sailing training. Tough conditions with a cold 15-20kt southerly running up the harbour, and some biiig swells coming in the harbour. The bombora was running full on pipeline waves.

Enjoyed mixing up coaching tips for the lads with some fun rides on the downhills.

Bantry Bay loop from Balmoral.

Was curious to see if I could get around the Bantry Bay trails from Balmoral with a 2hr deadline before lunch commitment adding an edge of excitement to the loop.

Quite a good route actually. First 3k to Spit bridge comes with some nice stairs and the bi-atch climb up from Rosherville reserve, and then once over the bridge up the nasty Gallipolli stairs.

Then some nice bush, with the lower Bantry Bay trail probably my favorite Sydney track - rough and windy but still possible to find some nice flow.

Made it around easily in the end. Nice run.

Friday afternoon play in the gym, including 3km on the treadmill. I focused on playing with cadence 'cause there isn't much else to do on a treadmill. 2km @4m/k and 1km @ 3:30m/k - upped the cadence to high 80's and must admit it felt snappy.

5k tempo on the wharves @ 19:10. Didn't feel very fresh.

Running (Beach tempo) 49:20 [3]

Usual Tuesday sunset tempo session from Fishermans to North Narra and back.

Tried but failed to find some pace on the outward journey (25:20) - struggled for rhythm, even though it was still light.

Stopped for a couple of minutes of hip extension drills on my weak side, and then managed a much sharper return journey (24:00) in the dark.
