A gentle cruise around Bantry Bay from Killarney largely as an excuse to enjoy the glorious early spring weather. Slow trot.

Bwahaha, the cunning long term plan to breed 2 athletic youngsters willing to sail with me is paying off. Tom unavailable this week, and Annika all too keen to fill in for the weekly spin. A 10kt southerly was on offer this week making for manageable fun and not too difficult to keep out of the cold water.

Shared a first beer together with the now-18 Annika on the deck afterwards. Good times.

Oooh, one of those fun (and rare) days when running comes easier than expected. Plan was to squeeze in a floaty wharf loop between meetings, but ended up gradually increasing tempo to scrape in under 20min for the 5k and last k 30sec faster than the first.

Afternoon cruise, stretching out on the 2.4km segment at Pyrmont at about 3.5's. Woudnt have lasted much longer at that tempo.

4.30pm lunch run a reflection of the days busy-ness. Popped at 3k of a 5k tempo trot @ 3.45's and jogged home, stopping for a brief chat with hipster commuter Bart along the way.

Gym session with 15min on the tready to finish. with 1min on/off at 5 & 3.5 m/ks respectively. I find treadys pretty dull, but concede they are good for calibrating running form and smooth cadence.
