Bitte and I went for an easy jog on the tracks out the back of the accommodation which felt good because my legs were soooo sore from yesterdays run!
Orienteering race (O-Festivalen Relay) 1:17:19 [4]6.1 km (12:40 / km)
Hadn't planned on this, but the team was short a runner so I decided to run... then found out we didn't have a forth runner anyway, oh well!! I was very sore after yesterday and felt much slower! Started off alright but made a few mistakes in the circle, a very stupid route choice for one and then bad exit direction in another. Apart from that I was pretty happy to get around, and the end was fun because there was lots of direction change.

Orienteering race (O-Festivalen) 1:39:17 [4]7.9 km (12:34 / km)
Had a good start, but made a fair few mistakes from not getting into the map properly, it was hard to figure out what was or wasn't mapped at first. Wasted a bit of time in the circle a few times and a horrible route choice because I wasn't thinking on another. Lots of fun to run in the forest though, never boring and very challenging. Was COMPLETELY stuffed afterwards!!!!

Event: Norsk O Festivalen

Went for a jog on the tracks near the place we were staying at in Norway. Managed to go over on my ankle after 11mins so quickly turned around and went to jog on bigger (flatter) tracks. Felt great afterwards.

Thursday Jun 19

Running (Model Event - OFestivalen) 30:20 [3]
Went for a jog around the model event course for O-Festivalen in Oslo this weekend. It was pretty thick, wet and tricky... should hopefully be fun though! Didn't really orienteer... more jogging around trying to understand the terrain, also kept to tracks at end because ankle was sore.

Started off with a 15min steady warm-up then did 6x 5min hard with 1min fast recovery, then 10mins steady, then 25mins worth of 45sec standing hill climb, 15sec fast spinning recovery, finished off with a 15min steady cool-down. Good session, riding home afterwards was tough work.

Tuesday Jun 17

4 x 800m intervals at Lugnet. Felt so stuffed afterwards, but it was good to do them.
Running warm up/down (plus recoveries) 41:35 [3]3.8 km (10:57 / km)
Ankle was sore on warm up and cool down. Recoveries were walking because I was so stuffed.
Strength and Condition (Gympa) 1:00:00 [3]
Tried out gympa today, not sure why... maybe because I was so delirious after intervals. It hurt the whole way through but it was funny because I had no idea what was going on half the time.

After a great night on the ferry on the way back from Finland last night I dragged myself to the gym for a spin class that was cancelled so managed to do some weights instead. Felt pretty seedy the whole time, but that's life and the mintu was definitely worth it!

After a mid-afternoon nap decided to do some pilates, felt great for it afterwards!
