Running 52:00 [2] 7.5 km (6:56 / km)
shoes: The Blue Ones
Making good on my promise that I would do some training this week, I got home from uni today, put on the running shorts (they haven't seen daylight since last summer), strapped on the bumbag complete with drink bottle, GPS (for geo-caching, of course), and housekeys, and went for a wander of the nearby suburb of Fullarton (supposedly just to run but actually to find a good spot for a cache).
I never thought I'd find myself saying this, but it was actually a lovely day for a run today; so I went up Conyngham St past the laughing schoolkids, zig-zagging down to the Windsor Road linear park for some interval sprints, and then back up Fisher St and home past the other laughing schoolkids (it's fair enough, too, if you've seen me run).
52 minutes,7.5 k's (according to my rough calculations from the street directory that seem way too long), 1 newly-installed bore, 2 vicious dogs, 3 geocach spots, 1 drink bottle and 5691 peice of graffiti (what they've done to the old Julia Farr building is really sad) later, I was home again. It felt really, really slow, and I didn't run it all, but it's a start.
I'll get you, Lachlan, for making me do this. One of us is going to die!
