| Today I did a bit more activity. We had to get up in the morning and then scrub all of the walls in the parlour, which is quite hard work. My heart rate was at about 85 - 90 bpm. As I said before though I won't bother putting chores down the whole time. |

| Basically the same thing that I do every day. Nothing new to report really. I've been doing these chores all my life and I didn't really think of them as being exercise until now. I think that at some point I'll get bored and won't bother putting down chores on here to count as my hours because it isn't really training for anything. You do them until they are done. That is usually a long time like 2.5 - 3 hours, but it isn't that physical. And it gets even less so in winter because the cows stay in the barn. So I most likely won't even put chores in my hours during the winter months. I'll ski or snowshoe or something else. |

| When I am milking cows, the whole process actually takes closer to 2 hours or more, but quite a bit of the time you are standing still. The 45 minutes comes from lifting up the pails of grain (which can weigh up to 45 pounds) 4 feet into the air and dumping them into the cow troughs. Sometimes the cows can be stubborn and you have to push them into their stalls which can leave you legs sore and you breathing heavy if you have to run after them, or chase them around and back in the barn outside. The after most of the chore sessions, you have to scrap all of the manure from the floor and into the 'manure pump'. This can be quite a challange because cow poop can weigh quite a bit, and you have to push it from one end of the barn to another, or about 100 feet. |

| It was fun to see you skills come back in the half hour of play time. I haven't played volleyball for a long time, and yet I still remembered how to set and bump. As I played more and more came back, and it was neat to observe.
I still don't like sports like volleyball. I prefer the individual ones. I plan on running now, maybe even ski in the winter. My ultimate goal is to be able to finish the Full Iron Man. That, or complete a 24 hour bike race. Even if I were to finish in last place, I would be in the best shape that I'll most likely ever be. |
