My serves are better. , but my spikes need alittle work. My power on the ball is good, it's just my timing I need to work on. Hopefully we will win our game toninght against Lundar. All of practised we worked on spiking and we simaged

My serves are definitly improving. In practise we were doing exersises on moving your feet to get the ball. What would happen is that the coach would throw balls half court away from you, so some of the time the only way to get the ball would be to dive for it. I wasn't wareing kneepads, and I dove to get the ball, and it went perfectly to the setter; but i got a big hole in the knee of my pants. So it was a good hit, but I was limping for a little bit afterwards.

gggrrrrrr... i am capeable serving overhand, it's just that my overhand serves don't have any power. i really need to work on that. but by the end of practise, I managed to do a great overhand serve...WITH power!! yay. hopefully I'll be able to continue and do better.

I say that it was a four for intensity b/c we did a lot of skipping and jumping (constantly), so it was a good cardiac workout. Then we scrimaged in volley-ball. I need to practise overhand serves all over again!
:( o well... at least my serves will have more power to them.

LOG/ Volley-ball (Practice) 25:00 [2]

I was 5 minutes late for volley-ball practise because i needed help on some math homework at lunch hour after class, whick made me late for a student council meeting, so I couldn't get my food from the canteen, and the meeting was over at 12:02; and then I had to scarf down the chicken burger (from the canteen), which didn't make me feel so good (b/c I scarfed it), but I ate in 3 minutes (new record, jk lol), and then i finally went to volley-ball practise.
At practise we worked on serving (which really needs to be improved on), and then we scrimaged. Ya, we still don't play that well as a team because we sucked. Everything was just bad, but hopefully we'll play and try harder at our home game tonight against Gimli.

The senoir team (us) won and played against the junior varsity Gimli team. So it was a hollow victory and it would have been humiliating and embarassing if we lost. This time I played 4 out of five sets. i'm not sure what time the game started but we started practising right after school. I'm also not sure what time the game was over, but it was around 5. The girls played first, then it was the guys (there were no cute guys on the gimli team, jk lol). But we still won and had fun, yay!

For part of the class we did some push-ups, sit-ups, stretches, balancing, etc. work-outs (there were 8 different stations, and we went in groups of threee to each one for a certain/equal amount of time). I found it funny that I could balance on the ball better than Dustin could (he was falling all over, it was funny lol). After this we got into partners and one person would try to steal the ball, while the other person tried to keep the ball. Then one person would try to shoot the ball into the hoop and the other person would try to block it (i'm sure their is a simpler way of saying this).
After this we got split up into 3 teams and played basketball. The work-out was a 2-3 of intensity (depending which one you were doing), while all the basketbell stuff was a 3-4.

LOG/ Volley-ball (Practise) 1:45:00 [3]

OK part of this practise was definatly a 4 for level of intensity, but the rest was a 3. After we warmed up by ralleying the ball in a circle, we had to do 10 manmakers. Manmakers, not laps. So you start at one end of the gym, run a 1/4 of the way, run back; run 1/2 of the gym, run back; run 3/4 of the gym, run back; run all the way, run back; and all that counts as ONE. So we did all that TEN TIMES. This part of practise was a 4.
After this we scrimaged, senior girls against the junior varsity. We were practising switching during scrimaging (something we need to work on - covering the are by the people switching and when people go up to block). During this part, I felt that people weren't trying to hard, mostly because we were tierd and hungry. For the reaminder of practise we worked on spiking and blocking. (I did a really nice spike, and i did a 100% successful block too!! YAY!! :P)

Volley-ball (scrimaging) 30:00 [2]

Today, after school, we have a volley-ball game. So at lunch today we had a practice and the senior team played against the junior varsity team. We werent playing thst well, perhaps it was due to the 4 day weekend due to thanksgiving. But we were all a little rusty and lazy, and every time someone didn't go for the ball (and they could've) or didn't complete 3 hits (when possible) everybody had to run laps. We ended up doing three. Hopefully we'll play better at the game. Also, our 2nd setter wasn't there, so I acted as the 2nd setter, which I've never been before.

Volley-ball (Game) 2:00:00 [3]

We played against the senior Fisher Branch volley-ball team. I played 3 out of 5 full sets (so that everybody had a chance to play). Only the first and the last set did we lose badly, all the others it was close, but we didn't win a single set. This was our first game of the year and one of our starting line-ups couldn't come, nor could our replacement for that team member; and Fisher Branch already played lots of games and a tournament. But we did our best, and we had a few great shots. WE'LL BEAT THEM NEXT TIME!!!! WOOOOAAAA!!!! It's hard to jugde the level oo intensity... i would say that at some points it was 4 (or close to), and others it was three (and I can't say it was 3.5 , so I'll just say it was 3)
