Sunday Apr 13

Orienteering race 1:08:30 [3] ***** 6.1 km (11:14 / km)
15/24. +15.19
Crap. What more can I say. I simply gave up. I know I shouldn't let small things like the weather get to me... But it was +2'C, raining and very windy. Everything was slippery and the terrain was much worse than I thought it would be. Too much green shite. I'm not good in those kind of terrains (that seem fast but are actually quite slow) and I always start tiptoeing when it's slippery. I don't really know what happened, I was feeling pretty good and I started well, but then I slowly started to freeze both mentally and physically. More mentally, I guess.

My orienteering was much better than last week though. I took the time to look at the map and make a route choice. Made some small mistakes in the beginning and started having more problems in the halfway, and then it just fell apart. I am a moody person and I suppose it reflects to my orienteering as well. I guess I'll just have to learn to control it.

This was our Tiomila qualification part one. So I think I'll have to do miracles next Sunday if I want to be in the first team. But seriously, I didn't give a rat's ass about Tiomila when I was sitting in the car shaking and shivering, trying to get out of my wet clothes. I just wanted to get home fast and into a hot sauna!
Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]
15'+5'.

Saturday Apr 12

Note
(rest day)
I spent like 2 hours changing the colours of the graphs (with a little help from Wikipedia).

Friday Apr 11

Flexi-Bar 30:00 [1]
I was supposed to go swimming, but after cleaning my room, the kitchen and part of the bathroom, I didn't have enough time anymore... A couple of good friends, some delicious food and a couple of bottles of wine - a perfect recipe for a wonderfull evening! :)

Thursday Apr 10

Therapeutic exercise warm up/down (Keppijumppa) 15:00 [1]
Games (Badminton) 1:00:00 [3]
We played 3/4 of the time with a slower shuttlecock (that's one of the funnies English words I've ever heard!!!) and the last quarter with a faster shuttlecock (hahahaa, I learned a new word today). There really s a big difference. I wonder when we'll get to the fastest shuttlecock (it really is hilarious! ;D).
C • whats so funny? 6
Note
One year older = one year wiser again! I finally got to open my birthday present that I bought for myself already a week ago: an mp3 player! No more boring trainings! Didn't have much time to celebrate today. Was too busy studying and writing an essay about ecological forestry... Oh and there was an exam on animal behaviour too. What a fun day! :p But it was heartwarming to get all those happy birthday wishes all day long. :) Thanks!

Wednesday Apr 9

Running intervals (10x1'/1') 20:00 [4]
ahr:165 max:182
10 x 1 min fast / 1 min slow running. Nearly full speed.
It felt horrible and stiff in the beginning, but then it started to feel better and better towards the end. It was very windy. During the cool down there was such a strong headwind that it kind of felt like running on a treadmill.
Running warm up/down 30:00 [2]
15'+15'.

Tuesday Apr 8

Circuit training etc. 45:00 [1]
I did the same "physio workout" that I planned for the club's circuit training a couple of weeks ago + some static exercise + some balance board stuff. I think it does miracles for my back.

STRETCHING 50:00 and watching CSI.

Monday Apr 7

Note
(rest day)
I didn't originally plan to have a resting week now. But I've been pretty tired lately so I think I better take it easy now...
