Orienteering 45:00 [2]
shoes: Innov8
Went for a jog/walk for part of my tinto twin night event course. It was good fun:)
I went and got conjunctivitis, so my eye wasn't working all the well. Also gave me a headache.

Wednesday Oct 31

Note
Having a rest day. I was very tempted to go to circuits, but I have an essay due for tomorrow so this made up my mind not to go. My throat's still sore but my head's fine:) I woke up in the night 3 times last night having a nose bleed (that's now 6 since finishing on Sunday!), i hope it's not back to the old days of constant nose bleeds. My feet and legs still look gross (puss still coming out of oen of them which may be infected, eurgh) but they're feeling ok:) Just walking along the road and your random passerby won't be able to tell i'm a crock anymore!

Tuesday Oct 30

Note
Still ill, although i did manage to get out of bed and get into uni today. At least i can walk now-blisters and skin all healing up. Legs don't actually feel that bad.
C • KIMM Syndrome 4

Monday Oct 29

Note
Ill. I don't think i drank enough after finishing. Headache, sore throat and generally feeling pretty rubbish, a day in bed for me!
Note

OMM day 2. 19.5km 1270m climb. We were pretty happy to be getting going again after getting pretty cold packing the tent up and having to hang around a bit until our start. We started off wearing all our clothes, but soon had to take them off as it was sunny and our first leg was straight up a steep hill. It was a lot easier today in the clear sun, but i think we probably made a few route choice errors. We thought we'd done pretty well and were going better than the day before, but we dropped quite a few places. We ended up 60th and i think 5th female pair. Although looking at the results it seems we did well to finish:)
I didn't run with my orthotics today, i jsut wore my o shoes without any insoles. This helped a lot although they were quite spacious, my feet were staying upright a lot more. I'd also taped up my legs with dressing, paper and duct tape (thanks robin!!), so my ankle brace wasn't causing me too much harm.
It was a good day in the hills, although we were glad to be back and have a hot wilfs and soup. The prize giving was good with lots of orienteers up there too!

Perhaps i'll do it another year...
