Anagach, brown course. Forgot my watch :(

Plan was to stand at the start for 5 seconds and get number one right. Certainly an improvement on recent weeks, but not perfect still. It was all about the navigation today rather than the running whilst I'm still getting over this bug. Caught Dan G about a third round which made it hard to reel in the pace! Never gutted myself though. Fought with my compass a couple of times, need to do something about that. Chuffed with a win, especially as it was a reward for my navigation focus.

My poor feet have now been told it's winter! Definitely cursing Alec with the bog crossings!! Although I have to admit i really enjoyed the course.

Instead of body balance this week. In Aviemore with some time to spare so popped into the gym for core stuff. Had a good giggle on the gym ball. Secondary training goal for the winter to be able to stand on it...

Note

No parkrun today (although i did keep to my promise and went to watch the kids from school running!). Still coughing too much, need to be a bit careful. Also got a pain in Achilles/lower calf that came on randomly on Thursday evening. It didn't loosen off yesterday. Not sure what's caused it - cold, where i hit it the other week, heavy shoes for drills, overuse, over stretched (one of my key exercises from physio). Could be one or a mixture.

Coylumbridge, lap of Loch an Eilein, Lochan Deo, footbridge, loop round to Rothiemurchus lodge, up to say hello to the Lairig Ghru and back via the footbridge.
Lovely day, snow has arrived on the hills - just got into in at the lodge. Time went by almost too quickly!

A windy hill run with Tess and Midge :) 2 new munros for me - Geal Charn and A'Mharconaich from Balsporran at Drumochter. Chest not feeling up for intervals this week. This pace was enough for me, hope I don't have a setback.
Loved being out in the hills with Tessa. Having a friend there makes the biting gales fun rather than daunting!

A wee test jog. Coughed once after 20 minutes and again at the end. Feel like my body is doing an amazing job at fighting this off. Original plan was jog and weights today, so think I'll stick to that and see how i am tomorrow.
