Running 1:27:02 [4] 11.0 mi (7:55 / mi)

Happen to rest with my family by the Queen Lake of all other Lakes :))) Lake George. The weather turned out to be rainy and cold, perfect for running. Anyway, I decided to run to the summit of the nearest mount (Prospect Mt) and was greeted by a few visitors on its top. Took a hikers trail to the top 2.5 miles of constant climb. Run 70% the rest of it walked when it was getting too steep to run. However, I took back a spiral road all over the mount with 5 miles decline (very fast) and the rest of the distance was all about getting to the foot of the mt. and back home from it. Felt great, but quite cold on the top.

Sunday Aug 25, 2002 #

Orienteering (DVOA meet) 1:23:55 [5] 8.26 km (10:10 / km)

Making a stupid close to 4 min mistake on first control wasn't quite a decent start so I began to work on fixing that gap, but unfortunately on 5 bag running close to my critical speed I misread blue boundary lines as north-pointing ones and ended up with 45 degrees angle or 1.5 blunder. The rest of the course was relatevely clean with exception for the nastiest couple of legs where everyone had to crowl in bushes. Felt quite strong at the end, however my left knee was very sore, hopefuly I finished without injuring it. Good Lord.

Run a loop in PP on full speed.

Running 10:00 [5] 0.5 km (20:00 / km)

Thereafter, did 5 uphill intervals but that was it.

Running 15:00 [3]

1km of cool down run plus stretching afterwards 10min. Felt quite tired, still in the process of recovery from Half-Marathon.

Running 22:42 [3] 5.5 km (4:08 / km)

Easy running in PP as a part of recovery from Sunday's Half-Marathon

Stretching 15:00 [3] 1.0 km (15:00 / km)

After finishing the loop, run another 1k/6min a cool down plus stretching afterwards.

Running (Competition) 1:39:52 [5] 21.0 km (4:45 / km)

Run Half-Wit Half-Marathon in Mt. Pen along with Boris Greame and others. Unfortunatelly Boris was unlucky and run backward, I came 3 overall with Greame winning the race. Lots of climb, easily over 500m rocky and a bit hot and humid.

Not knowing why but I felt so badly today, my legs were like stones, couldn't lift my knees event a half way of regular stride.

Run along with my sister as part of recovery. Felt much better but still exausted.

Tuesday Aug 13, 2002 #

Running 21:20 [4] 5.5 km (3:53 / km)

I felt pretty good today after 2 days of complete inactivity and eating tons and tons of food. Run form K-mart to Bay Ridge.

Stretching 10:00 [3]

By the end of 5th k felt a bit sore so I decided to stretch while giving myself a break.

Running back from Bay Ridge to my car with quite strong front wind. Felt quite tired, especially in Bay Ridge where some hills are present and at the end literally putting it all into the fight with the wind.

Although feeling dog-tired after the run, soon after I was done with stretching I felt much better. I have to say that after rogaine my legs were kind of weird. A bit jumpy as if I wore shoes with springs inserted in them.

Orienteering 7:10:15 [4] 29.0 km (14:50 / km)

Who said that rogaine is lot of fun? Screw you, it cooler than that. Great run with even greater partner Boris. GU is certainly a rocked-science stuff but it's not the GU that did all the running. Excrusiating pain after the race in my legs gradually phased in the joy of victory. Boris thank a lot and till the next victory.

Run two loops around PP. The first loop 22:09 the second 21:47. Felt good despite the Sunday's debacle.

DVOA Long Champ. This is exactly for how long I was struggling before I went half blind in te wood.

After yesterday's mini race I really didn't feel like running today, however, motivated by Sunday's DVOA Long Champs I managed to get out to park. A loop around PP.

A cool down run. Just couldn't push it any further.
