Orienteering 1:29:07 [4]14.2 mi (6:16 / mi) +350m 3:37 / km
Classic in Co. blew # 7, 8 ( need to control my speed in more technical stuff) and got very bored by long legs trough the fields. Ended up 2nd, guess I am not the only one who had some problems out there. Felt ok, despite being only 2 days at altitude.

Orienteering 1:04:53 [4]8 km (8:07 / km) +330m 6:43 / km

Encored the NY Russians (GOATs) team in Co. Got cought by Platt and others on #9 after making about 2.5 min mistake there, but managed to pull away as my lungs felt better toward the end. We ended up 4th overall in 4 point team category!

Thursday Aug 4

Orienteering 30:00 [3]
Drove to Ansonia for some O training on horribly humid day. Hanged strimers for short 2 courses that I designed at work.
Orienteering 35:21 [3]
ahr:177 max:191
Two short courses in most technical part of the map. Forgot my compass, so did the whole thing without it. Turned out quite well, though pace was slower at time.
C • You forgot your compass?!? 1
Orienteering 41:21 [3]
ahr:144 max:14
Went back into woods for some technique training. In general it hasn't suffered much despite the fact that I haven't done any O in quite a while. Though this yet remains to be seen during actual race.
