Orienteering 54:00 [3] 7.0 km (7:43 / km)

I talked goats into going to Ansonia park where Greg is setting courses in May. We ran the red course while Greg was out putting the streamers for us. This is my second most favored place after Surbrige to orienteer, I really like this place. The course has really challenging legs with many possible macro and micro route choices. I caught up to Greg in a few places and we finished the last four controls together. Butt was hurting pretty much all the time, so I wasn't really pushing it and just enjoyed the navigational part.

Running 30:00 [3] 5.0 km (6:00 / km) +150m 5:13 / km

Easy run with K in Mills Res. after rain. This is really sweet and small park, despite some rocky sections, there are non rocky parts with very nice terrain. We did a few uphill all terrain surges and K did a few more on her own while I bailed out to the car.

Running 24:30 [3] 4.5 km (5:27 / km)

Easy run to MB and back. Legs felt heavy and my quads still hurt, but my butt didn't really feel that bad! I am hoping that it will continue to feel that way and improve.

Note: I clearly remember how I felt the week after last year's PIG. I felt 100%, after struggling with sore knees almost entire winter. Then something happened at the Billigoat, but that's another story. So I am hoping that something similar happens this year as well and that the pain in my butt goes away.

Orienteering race 59:45 [4] 8.2 km (7:17 / km) +440m 5:45 / km

PIG Sunday Long - RED. Legs felt tired from the relays and the pain in the butt served as a reminder to take it easy. Started slow, but after third bag found myself running faster. Kept an ok pace, wobbled # 6 by losing maybe a minute on the route choice and then some on #13, walked up the hill at the wrong angle and not really feeling any legs under. Was happy to be done and sit down on the ground. Great run by Carl who beat me by a minute and other juniors who weren't that much behind.

In a couple of days will probably know how my butt feels, as of this writing everything below waist is just very sore.
