orientering race (euromeeting, long) 1:50:00 [4] ***** 9.4 km (11:42 / km) +550m 9:03 / km

Long distance race. Today really hot weather. and a really long and tough course. The winning time was expected to be around 70minutes, but become 90 minutes :O Really fun course tough, tricky controls and a couple of long route choices. I missed like hell tough!! :S 3 minutes at the first controll, 6 of another and then a couple of 3 and 2 minutes mistakes. So embarrassing. Good training for me though if I look at the bright side of it.

relay at euromeeting, first leg!! :O I think this was almost the first time ever for me I run a first leg in a womens relay!! Guess how nervous I was before, but at the same time very excited. It was heaps of fun indeed. I was a little laid back in start, but I felt stronger and stronger for every control. In to the finish I was first, one minute before Sofie. Fun! A race and feeling to remember. Absolutely the best race this weekend. Just did a small mistake in the middle of the race.

40 warm up, 10 warm down. My muscles were sore today. was maybe not the best to run so fast up for all hills yesterday. I was really happy during the warm up though!! I had wait the whole day for this afternoon race :)

orientering race (euromeeting middle) 40:00 [4] ***** 3.8 mi (10:32 / mi)

Euromeeting, czech, bohemian paradise. Middle distance. I get the first 8 controls really good. I took it quite slow and focused 100% at the orienteering. To the 9th control I stopped to early. I missed my flow and focus after that. Start to stress and stopped to read the map. Did two more mistake. One because they have hidden the 12th control in a bush. I was just one meter from the control a couple of times. I found it when a Norwegian girl punched. The next mistake I did because of her, I actually run after her without reading the map. Not good. I understand we was lost quite fast so I figured out were we where and then found our control. I was about 5 minutes after the winner, but I deff. missed more than that. Anyway it was really cool forest. Really tricky. and hard to read the map.

Arrived in Czech this afternoon, took the car to turnov and our hotel, get some food and then out to a forest! :D my plan was to take it easy, just look at the new cool terrain. But in the start I run with Lilian, Tess (and Lina one control) so we took some different route choices to learn what to choose in a race. It was really interesting. We actually figured out that if you just run one leg one by one, then it's best to run straight on and take the climb. But you can't make it many times in a rough, so then it's best to run around. And often it was just some seconds slower to run around. And you can run really long around indeed!! Pretty cool forest. Open, fast, hilly and rocky! get a bit dark in the end.

(rest day)

I don't know if I am good or not from my cold so have decided to rest until euromeeting, just to be sure. And I don't think my shape will be better if I run or not the last two days. Will be so excting to see how my body answare on friday after so much rest/sickness. really looking forward to the races. Middle on friday, relay saturday and long sunday. I have to foccus on the orienteering and hope my running-shape still are quite okay at least! It will be so fun anyway! :D :D

today I went out on a little training, I'm not 100% well, but almost! I had to check one course (boy/girls 12) to the children's race tomorrow. I run very,very,very slow where the paths were flat and downhill. And then I walked where it was uphill or in the forest. I wanted to keep the pulse as low as possible (just to be sure that my cold don¨t will come back). It was raining a litle, but still really warm out side. I start to longing so after running "on real" in the forest again!!
