After all the moaning during the family 8km stroll at Rannoch Forest (the kids were bad, too), I needed a run to stop my ears ringing. The wee crag above Kinloch Rannoch, Craig Varr, is a cracking viewpoint, so, I body-swerved the chlorine-fest pool trip and went for a run. Pretty steep up, nice and snowy traverse across the open hillside, rewarded with awesome views: Schiehallion front and centre, and all the way along Loch Rannoch to the Buachailles, everything coated in creamy white. Did I remember to bring my camera? Did I a**e. Took the longer, shallower route back down through the forest to save the knees. Rehydrated with a wine/brufen cocktail. TRIMP 82.1
