CATI at Beecraigs, Green course. Might have gone for the Blue course had I not had to sit in the car for an hour with a misbehaving Eilidh whilst Beccy took Jamie to the training, but Green was probably the more sensible choice anyway, given that I was only running courtesy of a painkiller cocktail. Trudged steadily around and only really made a couple of errors - heading halfway to #2 before realising that it had been taken out of the course (maybe should look at the control descriptions earlier in the leg), and when I decided to go cross-country to #11 instead of around the paths and lost about 2 minutes being caught up in the undergrowth. After a rubbish week of business travel, excess food/drink and general work stress, the usual Saturday morning slot would have been a much-needed wind down, but today was all about Eilidh's party, which meant virtually no chance for exercise... so when a 35 minute window appeared, I took it. One of those days when most people look out of the window and think 'not much point going out in that', and when I look out and think 'grand day for a run!".
Steady on the paths up to the Stane and back (clockwise), feeling fine and looser than I have been of late, although my back has been gippy after all the travel. Needless to say, later in the day it seized up totally and the LBP kicked in, to the extent that I really struggled to get to sleep because of it. Sigh. TRIMP 79.0
