Gym (Elliptical) 20:02
ahr:160 max:170

Woah, this was a lot harder than it should have been. Resting HR was very high before starting, so maybe I'm coming down with something. TRIMP 57.8.

Gym (Cross-over) 10:01
ahr:154 max:160

After nearly expiring on the elliptical, I decided that 'nice and steady' on the cross-over was the way to go. TRIMP 25.2.

Gym (Cardio) 5:01
ahr:130 max:139

And the hand-turning thingy to warm down. TRIMP 6.7.

ahr:148 max:161 shoes: Genesis Croix de Fer 30 2016

So close. Short again today, being careful, but it also felt as if it could be sharp, despite my quads protesting after yesterday's unfamiliar circuits. Headwind all the way to Braco made the outward journey unspectacular, but I thought that the sub-50 might just still be on. With fresher legs it definitely will be. TRIMP 108.4.

Running (Trail) 34:38 6.92 km (5:00 / km) +43m 4:51 / km
ahr:152 max:169 shoes: Nike Air Icarus+

Lunchtime escape from the desk; back still not liking sitting down, but when it's like this nor does it like running, so this was a patter with minimum knee lift and higher leg turnover rate, keeping impact to the minimum. Nice wee tootle out along the river, with a wee explore around some slow, nebulous, nettly trails at the end to see if I could sniff out any new routes. No luck, so turned tail. TRIMP 81.8.

Strength training (Pilates) 25:00 [1]

FVO session, first time in months. I was cr*p.
7 PM

Strength training (Circuits) 20:00 [2]

One set of 30/5 double-ups. A painful exercise in humility - you can't just rock up to this session after months off and expect to be any good. I certainly wasn't!
