Orienteering 24:59 intensity: (5:34 @0) + (12:11 @1) + (7:14 @2) 2.83 km (8:50 / km) +61m 7:58 / km
ahr:120 max:135 shoes: Inov-8 O-Roc 250 (2)

Checking sites for my event on Weds evening. Gorgeous day, but pitched up to find cars in the car park - oops, might not be able to get out if the scouts are using the area. Took the 'long' route out to the barn, where I hoped to find the duty warden, so as to check a few of the yellow/orange sites in case I was asked to go away and come back later.

Orienteering 45:13 intensity: (17:51 @0) + (18:37 @1) + (8:45 @2) 4.81 km (9:24 / km) +93m 8:34 / km
ahr:116 max:137 shoes: Inov-8 O-Roc 250 (2)

Control site checking part 2 - after I'd found the warden and confirmed it was OK to continue! Always a pleasure to run in Barrwood at this time of year.

Cycling (Road) 4:27:06 intensity: (19:28 @0) + (1:24:41 @1) + (2:06:52 @2) + (36:05 @3) 106.63 km (2:30 / km) +1368m 2:21 / km
ahr:127 max:149 shoes: Genesis Croix de Fer 30 2016

Early ride on a gorgeous day, although a cool start. Had a vague plan to do the tour of Loch Katrine, but didn't commit until I got to Aberfoyle and all the body parts seemed to be happy. I set a deliberately easy "all day tour" pace, spinning up all the hills, to preserve knees and body. The latter was sore from the hour on, but only gradually got worse; I stopped a couple of times to walk about, and that helped. I started off fuelling OK but then got the return trip in my sights and slipped, which meant that I started to run out of steam by Doune; quick stop there to finish off my food made the last 5km much easier! Pleased to have got around with no ill effects. My back might even last a Sportive. TRIMP 357.3

ahr:137 max:147 shoes: Genesis Croix de Fer 30 2016

Same again. Yes, boring, but it's good for my knee. A bit easier than yesterday, even - need to stay fresh for the important business of Newton PS AC later. TRIMP 52, NP 226W.

Running (Trail run) 21:36 [1] 1.9 km (11:22 / km) +52m 10:00 / km

Bantaskine WEE Yellow with Eilidh. Steve persuaded her to go out, despite her earlier insistence and despite the rain! The lure of a prize at the Dinner Dance proved too great a temptation. Pot hunter.

Knee-friendly cadence, because my left knee is b*ggered. Feckin thing. TRIMP 71.7, NP 245W.

(rest day)

Short walk, drive back home with the kids. Not much opportunity.
