Sunday Aug 18 #

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Camping overnight at Loch Drunkie with Les Inmans, Birthday Boy Matthew and many others. I was sensible last night, so, no sore head this morning, but sore everything else - particularly my back. Got a wee stroll to ease it off, had a leisurely b/f in the rain, then stumped around hoiking stuff up and down the track in the rain. Much fun despite the weather today.
Had had plans to get back on the bike this aft but my back was killing me, so I gave in, took some painkillers and put my feet up on the sofa with a good book instead.

ahr:137 max:164 (injured) shoes: Genesis Croix de Fer 30 2016

Had half an hour. Filled 25 of those 30 minutes with this. Remainder contained changing, shower and toast. Not sure which activity burned more calories.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Everything a bit niggly today - just some easy walking about to stay mobile.

Running 38:05 intensity: (6 @0) + (6 @1) + (1:10 @2) + (15:38 @3) + (18:12 @4) + (2:53 @5) 5.72 km (6:40 / km) +280m 5:21 / km
ahr:144 max:168 (injured) shoes: Salomon Speedtrak 2017

Sloooow half-Dumyat.
Knee stil only about 75% and R glute has been sore since Weds morning, so, just a nice, easy plod up Dumyat from the forestry car park. My knee was feeling it, so the return journey was even slower, and along the soft and boggy ridge route. Just about got away with it. Lovely evening to get up the hill - particularly given the recent weather! Really must retire these old Salomons; I can see more sock than shoe upper now. If only they weren't so comfy.

ahr:135 max:152 (injured) shoes: 2019 Speedgoats

Sprint-Orienteering: Gargunnock.
Shadowing Jamie around the Long course. Variable pace and occasionally variable navigation! Nice wee area. Followed by pub meal in the Gargunnock Inn. Yum.

Elliptigo intervals (Hill reps) 40:30 intensity: (14 @0) + (25 @1) + (5:04 @2) + (12:12 @3) + (10:00 @4) + (12:35 @5) 12.88 km (3:09 / km) +343m 2:47 / km
ahr:145 max:171 (injured) shoes: Elliptigo

Got to start somewhere. Had vague intentions of 5 long reps, but my shoulders were taking a hammering (it's a full-body workout on the Elliptigo!) so I did three, then two short ones. Plenty for a first attempt. Good session.

Gym 40:07 intensity: (26 @0) + (14 @1) + (1:43 @2) + (13:17 @3) + (20:15 @4) + (4:12 @5)
ahr:145 max:165 weight:65.8kg (injured)

Cardio. 30 mins Elliptical, 10 mins Vario. Knee strapped, Baker's Cyst still present but no larger afterwards. I think that that counts as a win.
