Ben Ledi with Jamie. Soggy. Ears kept warm by endless game chat. Steady enough pace, although knee a bit flaky on the way back down. Saw Ben and pal running near the top, Helen Randfield walking up when we were on our way back down, and Fanni ran through the car park just as we got back.
HR strap seems to have died, the data is mince.

Zwift - Mont Ventoux. Brutal. Blew up big time. Crawled the last 3km. Feeling v queasy after, could only eat half my tea and nearly brought that back up. Proper workout, then.

Back on the turbo for some proper cardio exercise. Puffed away at Jon's Mix. Need to work on building up that FTP again, but the knee was definitely feeling grumpy afterwards; icing at least twice a day at the moment.

Another gloriously sunny lunchtime. The back road to Doune was in such a bad state that it put me off trying my usual country lane from Doune to Carse of Lecropt, and I opted to just head over Hill of Row via the Stirling memorial instead. A very nice 45 minutes of fresh air and exercise.

The plan was for a short knee-friendly cardio session on the turbo, but the sun was splitting the skies, so - a walk it was. I've decided to start interspersing short jog sections into my walks to see if I can build up any resilience in the knee. I'll take it very slowly and I have very low expectation of success, but it's worth a try. My appointment to see the knee consultant at FVRH came through after six months, entirely out of the blue - so, by next Friday, I might know if I have any other options. Fingers crossed.
