Nice as it would have been to get out in the sun, even if only to walk around a yellow course at Fallin, my knee really doesn't like walking today. I stuck on a brace and tried a gentle turbo session and had no pain, so, that'll have to do for now.

Knee a bit sore and slightly swollen after clumping around the mean streets of Glasgow for longer than expected, and then I managed to twist it a little when pivoting off the motorbike; b@!!ards. Just a minor set back. Out with the ice, elevation etc. Massively dehydrated anyway.

What a day, too gorgeous to not escape from the desk on my lunch break. Easy spin on our groovy local gravel trails and then on to Waltersmuir and back via Old Glen Road. Wonderful - happy hormones topped up to 150%. Envious of anyone who has the whole day off in this weather!

Pretty pooped after a day helping at the orienteering at Auchingarrich (no exercise, but quite warm and I got a bit dehydrated), but I dragged myself onto the turbo for at least a modicum of movement before beer o' clock. Reckon knees are up to venturing back onto the roads next week, 'bout time!

Dropped into Zwift to offer some support to vEveresting Jill, unfortunately much later than planned (furniture construction, taxi driving, fixing the leak on my car tailgate, yadayada). Caught Jill as she was most of the way up her 6th ascent of the Alpe: 10h, 130km and 6000m+ in! She only had to put up with my inane chatter for half an hour, as she had a planned stop at the top, taking a break before setting off for the final 2.5 ascents. I had an hour before dinner so carried on for a bit at an easy pace before the gong sounded.

Lovely evening to go out, but I was being sensible and also dog-tired with an all-day headache. Worked the two climbs reasonably hard. Definitely getting there.
