British Middles Walk-O.
Knee too cooked to run, and the area was almost too ming to walk, until I got the dark green at #11, and then it genuinely was. Hard to bend double to crawl through thick green when you can't bend one leg. The map was so bad, too, that even I noticed! Called it at a day and walked back, punching a token couple of controls that were on the straight line route back to the finish.
Oh well. Glorious weather, lots of good chat and a visit to see my dad.

Quality qualifier - great sprint area. Wrong shoes and woefully unfit so I was moving slowly, but thankfully made only one mistake - ca. 10s. Mid-field. Alas knee was too sweaty so the taping came off - emergency anti inflammatory gel afterwards, but not sure whether I'll run the final.

M50 A final - oops, mispunch.
So the only code I didn't check was the one where I followed the guy who'd just caught me up, because clearly he was running hard and knew where he was going... But no, he ran right past our #13 and on to the one just outside of the circle, 11m further ahead. If I'd held out my arm as I ran past it... Oh well! Got past the guy and took 10s out of him, but to no avail. Never mind. Decent enough area, but the qualifier was definitely better. Knee is sore and a bit swollen, let's see where it is tomorrow. Very bad guts all day, too - must have been to the portaloos half a dozen times.
