Gorgeous Roseisle. Scottish relays, first leg on a non-comp team. Such a fabulous area. Just the one mistake, ca. 40s, on #14; that counts as a clean run here, for me! So glad I went out. Knee sore and swelling afterwards, ofc - should be manageable though. HR trace from the watch - no strap - so all a bit of a nonsense.

Scottish Orienteering Champs @ Craig Leach, Inverness. Too far for my knee - 2.5km to start, 6km course, 1km from finish - so I decided to just collect my map and walk back to the finish, tagging a few controls on the way. Jenny was planning on doing the same so we strolled our way through the most gorgeous forest whilst I talked the poor girl's ears off. Just one of those days when it's a privilege to be, well, here. Thunder duly saved for tomorrow.

Had thought about Jerah, but my legs were feeling strangely jaded, so I switched to the Muir top and trails out back. Good strategy, some sustained efforts interspersed with easy sections, felt rejuvenated afterwards.
