| PNWOF sprint at COCC campus. 2.7 km/14 minutes. Very fast, mostly forest with subtle contour features, rocks and trails. A lot of fun. Third, 50 seconds down on Leif and Magnus. |

| Western States Champs, day 2 (Cle Elum) + WRE. Very fast terrain, and tough to keep pushing all the way on a long, hot course. Enjoyed the challenge, though. A few minor bobbles and faded towards the end. Second to Magnus by 2 minutes. |

| Western States Champs, day 1 (Teanaway). Pre-ran the course at 9 am. It was tough to feel like this was a race, and I was tired from lack of sleep from working on the US Champs. Had a fun time, though, despite several quite bad mistakes. Finished second. I guess running in cooler temperatures was a help. |
