Completely beasted it around with Raor Faibin and Shea. Did control intervals, we'd tank it to a control either mass start or 30sec intervals taking different routes nd we'd stop t the control and descus routes and attackpoints etc.
Fun fun fun. Can't wait for jukola 2mo!!

Thursday Jun 12

Event: Forssa Games

Orienteering race 45:28 [5]**** 4.2 km (10:50 / km) +220m 8:35 / km
ahr:166 max:185 spiked:7/11c shoes: Intergrators
Forrsa Games. Ran 5.25km

Went out hard, after 200m the terrain got gammy, and overshot one by 50m. Got into my stride and began to spike the controls. I was reading everything well until i undershot 4 in thick forest, relocated after a min of confusion and got the control. The running was very slow with the fallen branches, my short legs don't agree with it. My biggest slip of the course came at the last control, i was running with a group and they all hit the last control, i came up to it and the code wasn't matching. This confused me alot so i ran away and came back to it from a few diferent angles. I finally realised that the rock wasn't actually a rock but a mound of general crap- i ran 30m on to the second last control, ie the one the elites had, big clap clap for stupidity!!

Lost 10mins extreme tops

Jeasus. Twas deadly stuff. Myself shea and roar we're beasting it around the map. Each taking diferent routes. If ya lose map contact or direction your basically f**ked. Had one magor mess up where i lost compass direction and spent the next 3mins trying to relocate off of different things. Still very wet ground....it is finland after all

Tuesday Jun 10

Orienteering 1:01:31 [3]***** 5.84 km (10:32 / km) +155m 9:18 / km

Finland. First training. Took it really handy. Got used to the map and how it was mapped. Avided tracks and checked out boulders, marshes and different shades of green. After a bit of slow jogging i took a few controls at race pace. was happy but i had no control flow out there. Low visiability can be a bit crap but its nice terrain. Was very dehydrated.
Orienteering 31:12 [3]*** 3.53 km (8:50 / km) +50m 8:15 / km
ahr:132 max:170 spiked:6/6c shoes: Intergrators
Ran out with Roar and Shea to check out a few features.... mainly a pier in the middle of a swamp/lake but thats beyond the point, good fun and fast running over the rough terrain

Monday Jun 9

Note
(rest day)
