Sunday May 4

Note
(injured)
Shin way too sore - iced and rested.

Saturday May 3

Long Run 49:14 [3]
ahr:165 (injured)
Run around the mountain bike tracks at Tangoio while the relay was on (I ran on a different part of the map). Was going to go for a lot longer, but left shin really hurt the whole way, so cut it short.

Friday May 2

Orienteering 45:38 [4] 3.4 km (13:25 / km) +160m 10:52 / km
NISS Senior Girls Course, Tangoio. Nice run after hanging around all morning, quite a bit of blackberry though. Made a few stupid mistakes, especially route choice to 2, where I briefly attempted to climb a cliff...also screwed up the end of 8, and 10 - lost about 5 mins overall I think. Shin still sore on the left.

Thursday May 1

Long Run tempo 45:13 [3]
ahr:184 max:190
3 x lake, 1 x Victoria Park. Ran with some random guy for a few minutes and we talked about how nice the weather had turned out to be after raining this morning - two minutes after he took off up a side track it started pouring. Shins a bit sore, especially the left one.

Wednesday Apr 30

Note
(rest day)
Went to Wellington with Mitchell because he had a job interview, and caught up with some friends. I think I saw Kate and Val Morrison walking down Cuba St, but with my eyesight, you can never be sure...

Tuesday Apr 29

Intervals hills 18:00 [4]
ahr:177 max:193
12 x 30s hill sprints on Parsons St hill. Nice short session, shin not too sore, got lots of odd looks from people driving up the hill.
Long Run warm up/down 20:00 [3]
10 up along the walkway, 10 down round the road.

Monday Apr 28

Long Run 1:21:00 [3]
ahr:172 max:183
Pretty much the same route as the last long run, but cutting out the last loop around Montgomery Rd. Shins a bit sore again, especially left, anteromedially, about half way up - iced them when I got home, which seemed to help a bit.
