Orienteering 1:20:00 [3]
(injured)

Walking the first training - kept underestimating how far I'd gone, so I screwed up a few, but managed to relocate pretty well. I also read too much of the map because it took so long to get anywhere, so I mucked up my planned simplification. Not quite as cold as yesterday, but my hands still froze. Only did the first exercise because my leg started to hurt a bit (it was really slippery and I kept jarring it). It was annoying not being able to do the rest of the training, because Naseby is such an awesome map.

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3]
(injured)

Putting out some controls with Greta at Naseby. Walking sucks, but we still had some trouble putting a few out, so it was probably lucky we were...

Orienteering 30:00 [3]
(injured)

Walking the sprint training at Naseby. Got much more in touch with the map than I did last time I was there. So, so cold.

Aquajogging intervals 32:00 [5]
(injured)

8x 100s intervals with 2.20min jogging recoveries. Quite a good session, no 5pm crowd arrived, and I found the pool's stash of extremely light-weight belts, so that made it even harder.

Aquajogging warm up/down 20:00 [3]
(injured)

10 up, 10 down (including half a lap with no belt without sinking!). Good news from the physio - leg seems to be improving, nowhere near the pain levels of when I first got it.

slept:1.5 (injured)

Met with the dean, turns out that I was right, my absence had been approved but the other deans somehow got given my request form but not my file while he was in Canada and made a decision without knowing all the details (they didn't even know that I was in a New Zealand team). Now he is fixing their mistake, so hopefully its all okay still. Pretty pissed off that it totally ruined my day yesterday - look at the sleep hours for last night.

Note
(injured)

What a crap day. Just as I was about to go to have my bone scan, I got an email saying that my application for a leave of absence for JWOC had been declined (I thought it was already approved, so as you can imagine, my stress levels skyrocketed). "If [I] want to discuss this further, [I] should make an appointment to see the dean". Then when I had the bone scan I could see the stress fracture in my leg (and was "unofficially" told that yes, it was a fracture, by the radiologist). Then my back really hurt from lying on the bone scan table. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Aquajogging intervals 50:00 [4]
(injured)

1x4min, 3x3min, 4x2min, 5x1min with 2min jogging recoveries. Pool was full of old ladies and young pregnant women - I totally didn't fit in.

Aquajogging warm up/down 20:00 [3]
(injured)

10 up, 10 down. Used the lightest possible belt today, which made it harder (also, for some reason they are longer, so it didn't fit properly), and tried with no belt at the end, but could only sustain it for about a minute before I sank...

Aquajogging 20:00 [3]
(injured)

With Hayley.

Other Sport (Swimming) 20:00 [3]
(injured)

About 30 laps with Hayley Oates (I lost count and Hayley did 32 - I was slower, but you can probably add a few with the amount of zig-zagging I did). I am not the world's best swimmer, so It was pretty much an intervals session.

Note

Supposed to have the bone scan today, but they rang up and postponed it until Wednesday, so hopefully it will go ahead then.
