Orienteering 1:16:00 [3] 6.0 km (12:40 / km) +365m 9:43 / km

Windswept day at Belmont Bunkers. Felt rather unfit and had difficulty forcing myself to keep running, which I think was a result of my lack of hill fitness. No problems with navigation, which was good. Right calf tight a few hours afterwards. Also fell on my right wrist and its hurting again - same thing happened last week, which is annoying.

Bike 1:05:00 [3]
(injured)

Couldn't resist, so went up Mt Vic, down to Oriental Parade, and back round the coast, through Kilbirnie and over the hill home. Whoever decided that a cycle lane could consist of a 30cm wide strip including the gutter is pretty stupid, but also compounded their error by painting the cycle symbols on the road upside down several times (there was also a cycle lane on the other side of the road - I don't know what thy were thinking). I ignored the lane and so did every other cyclist I saw. Made the near fatal mistake of finishing the coke from yesterday shortly before I went - never again...

Bike 1:18:00 [3]
(injured)

Down to Island Bay, all the way around the coast to Seatoun, then back via the two big roundabouts and Kilbirnie, plus an extra trip down to Island Bay for fun. Made the mistake of drinking Coke too close to leaving and really needed the toilet for most of the ride.

Orienteering 31:00 [3]
(injured)

Summer series at Seatoun - never been there before, and the coastal strip was really cool! I'm not sure that I'm quite up to two days in a row proper running, as my leg was a little bit sore, but hopefully that will improve. Missed an opening into the school (which was actually an openable gate) which probably cost me a few minutes, as it could have been a route choice on two legs.

Long Run 35:00 [3]
(injured)

My first actual run for a very long time! Explored some tracks up on Mt Albert from my flat and back - awesome views, found the back of the zoo, but also felt a little bit isolated, probably because I didn't really know where I was going.

Bike 55:00 [3]
(injured)

Bike from my new flat down Adelaide Rd to Island Bay, along the coast to the marine reserve, then back a bit and up the road into the back of Brooklyn, back to flat via Bidwill Rd, Johns Rd (I think - I'm not quite up with all the names yet).
