Orienteering 55:02 [3]

Aus Relay Champs, 4.7km, Mt Killawarra. Rita ran first, then Amber, but I had to "mass" start by myself so that I'd finish in time for us to drive to the airport, which was a bit offputting. Screwed bup 3 by stopping short, then generally had a slightly messy run, and screwed up 9 by stopping short again - I think I was thrown by the change of scale to 1:10000, although I thought that would have made me overrun things...

Orienteering 1:44:34 [3]

Aus Long Champs, 8.5km, Northern Spurs. I haven't made so many mistake for a while. Got thrown on the way to 1 when I popped out at a track (on my bearing) and thought I'd drifted to another track. went downhill from there, apart from 3-8 which was good, and the end, which was better, but by then I was tired and slow...

Orienteering 17:21 [3]

Aus Sprint Champs, 3.1km, Benalla Islands. The least technical sprint I've done in a while, and it showed in the results, there was only one route choice leg, and once you had chosen you didn't have to think about anything else on the way.

Orienteering 30:00 [3]

Model for the Long at Warby Range State Park (the corner of the Long/relay map). Mostly with Rita, checking out control sites and other features - bare rock a useful navigational tool, compass important.

Orienteering 42:55 [3]

Goal Fever, Browns Reef. Part of the same map from yesterday - had to get controls totally more than 400 points, which took a bit of concentrating. Rita had a better route than me today, although we did start off in the same direction.

Orienteering 50:14 [3]

Midweek Mayhem Match Race, 7.2km, Break O Day. Again, open fast map, but possibly a bit more complex, with some little stream areas. Raced Rita and won by ~2mins, but not fast enough to beat speedy Jula (3s ahead - although I could claim I was slowed down by more on the way to the second to last control by a really old guy...). No real mistakes but should have used compass more and more accurately.

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

Model, Leachs Rd on Mt Kooyoora. Cool map - remembered it from Oceania relay in 2003. Had fun doing little route choice legs.
