Note

And again. So bitter.

Note

One of the days when I get extremely bitter about medicine - being forced to work a weekend, during which I spend many hours at the hospital and learn less than during the week... 8am to 8.30pm, joy of joys.

Long Run 23:00 [3]

10 mins warm up and 13 mins warm down. Followed by static stretching. Right knee still a tiny bit weak feeling, but felt okay doing squats

Tempo run 35:00 [3]

Sub threshold run - not actually sure how close I got to this, as I haven't really done this type of run before so I wasn't sure if I was getting the pace right and it was really slippery (Te Mata Peak from Tauroa Rd end, mostly clay paths). Still feeling a bit tired and also bumped into people I knew at the top (despite it being in cloud), so probably not as good as it could have been. Went through the giant redwoods, up the spur to the top, and back down past the abseiling place and the cafe.

Long Run 39:00 [3]

Te Mata Peak just before it got dark - knew I was running out of time so chose the shorter route back after going from the Tauroa Rd end to the giant redwoods. Was still slightly longer than I thought, but I got back with just enough light. Followed up with static stretching. Right knee feeling a little bit weak when it twists slightly.

Other Sport (Indoor netball) 30:00 [3]

We won 42-26, way better than last week! Didn't go running today, which was probably a good idea, as I found 3/4 of this game hard enough today. Played mostly centre and a bit of GS, and even got some goals, haha.

Orienteering 1:05:06 [3]

QB day 3 at Whites Line South. Probably my best run of the weekend, but only really happy with the controls after number 8, when I realised I was drifting along not pushing myself hard enough. Attempted to be a bit more mongrel but was pretty tired - I don't think I've run this many long races in a row for a while. Did generally get a bit faster and enjoyed it a lot more but it was a bit late to make too much of a difference. Only minor mistakes today, so was happier with that.
