Note
(rest day)

Managed to sleep half the day, then went for a walk, which probably still doesn't count as training...

Long Run 50:00 [3]

From Magnus and Lisa's up the secret track and down through the horse paddock, then up to the skyline, along and down through Wilton bush. Nice day for it, feeling fairly average though.

Note

Did contemplate putting two hours of walking on today, then realised that it probably doesn't count at all, since it involved a lot of stopping, and also some eating of icecream, so probably was really negative on the training scale. Plus was wearing jandals, so feet not so happy now. Should have thought of this, especially since I got new orthotics today!

Note
(rest day)

Feeling pretty odd today, and so were quite a few people after last night - seems there was something dodgy with the nibbles or something last night. Luckily didn't last too long - had prize-giving and class dinner, so now own a graduation pen and a book of Glenn Colqhoun poems:)

Orienteering 34:16 [3]

O-max at the Botanic Gardens. A bit embarrassingly slow really - Gillian even passed me (although I was on my third loop and she was on her first. Just not feeling it today, even though the four loops were kind of fun.

Long Run 1:03:00 [3]

Belmont with Bryn, Piret, Laura, Tim, and Magnus - up through the pine forest and along the tops, past round knob, and back down the steep bit to Stratton St. Found Sarah, Ben, and Anna near the end. Clearly I have not been running up enough hills. We should probably have taken Bryn and Piret's cat with us on her leash to tire her out:)

Bike (MTB) 1:00:00 [3]

With Magnus from their place, round the road, through the horse paddock, all the way up to the skyline, along the tops, then it was too windy so we had to go cross country down the hill to get to a sheltered bit before coming back down to the substation. On the tops my helmet was getting blown sideways on my head and when Magnus picked his bike up the wind was holding it out horizontally... Just about impossible to stay upright, hence a few gorsebush experiences...
