Orienteering race 13:49 [4]

Woke up again with sore throat. Didn't feel great through the qualifier but managed to keep it flowing better than yesterday. Lost about 20s on one control exiting the wood and 10s on first into wood which i should learn from.

Orienteering race 14:30 [5]

Felt a lot better in the afternoon for some reason. No mistakes of any note just hesitations, micro route choices and falling in the ditch that lost me time. I beat Douglas by miles. ;-)

Easy Run 55:00 [3]

Orienteering 40:51 [5]

Woke up with a sore throat which wasn't great. Felt a bit better before my run and was ready to give it a good go. Orienteered ok, felt nackered but tried to hold it together technically, took a few cop out route choices round paths which i shouldn't have taken. Beaten by Ralph and about over a minute down and Hector who were also feeling the effects of the other week.

Orienteering 22:00 [4]

Orienteering with a big crowd, i think evelven in total around city centre, goodwin and ponderosa. I think a train of people hurtling around West Street suprised a few people, the train of people destroying a hedge at goodwin will have also suprised people. Great encouragement through the estate next to ponderosa from kids in tracky bottoms.

Something occured to me today...
At the oringen JD and Dan M stayed with us for the World Cup races. On each day the best result of the day came from one of them. DanM highest placed brit on classic and JD 6th in sprint (highest placed international individual performance of 2007). Then we went round for some catering from my mother the night before the spring cup relay and looked what happened there...
