Easy Run 15:00 [3] 2.9 km (5:10 / km)

Good warm up taking in some of the model controls.

Orienteering 36:05 [4] 7.5 km (4:49 / km)

Another shocker. All over the place. Nothing seemed to look how I expected to it so lots of bananas and bouncing off things. Finding it difficult to explain this weekend to myself as training has been going well and I've done quite a bit of technique (particularly sprint) but it didn't come together. I do have my finals around the corner so perhaps the added stress from that is taking its toll on my brain or maybe I havn't fully got back from the lay off yet. Good to see the other Sheffield lads performing sans commentator's curse.

Easy Run 8:00 [2] 1.3 km (6:09 / km)

Easy Run 10:00 [2] 1.8 km (5:33 / km)

Warm up.

Orienteering 14:16 [4] 3.0 km (4:45 / km)

British Sprints Qualification. Decided to go easy and save something for the final. A good tactic if you go clean but I missed two controls by ~10-15 seconds meaning that I was quite lucky to qualify in the "heat of death" taking the last spot.

Easy Run 15:00 [2] 2.7 km (5:33 / km)

Warm down.

Easy Run 15:00 [2] 2.2 km (6:49 / km)

Warm up.

Orienteering 13:26 [5] 3.0 km (4:29 / km)

Sprint Final. Really poor. Just never totally found the groove and felt like I was fighting on the edge to stay in control. Read number two wrong then had a good section but thought I saw a gap on 7 which didn't exist loosing more time. Then completely spooned 11 by 30 seconds. I can't really explain why this happened. My legs felt great I was on the pace for the majority of the race but never found that focused feeling.

Easy Run 8:00 [2] 1.5 km (5:20 / km)

Last jog with CK.
