My toe is still very sore, but I think a little bit less than yesterday (there might be a correlation as I took pain-killers today). Anyway I went to spinning puls at F&S Ultuna. I felt a bit bad entering the dark spinning hall as it was a beautiful sunny day outside, but it was a long time ago since I wad there and I really like this session. You get to wear a pulse belt that sends information about your heart rate and the current level you're at and it shows up on a big screen at the front of the hall. Then the idea is to keep within different pulse intervals throughout the session. As usual a sweaty experience and of course I forgot my towel which made it even more slippery :)

Cycling back on my newly renovated green bike, my 2nd best friend :) Sweden is so warm and sunny right now, perfect. I wish that the summer will last for a long time still.

I was limping around at work all day today. Really bad pain and the toe just got more and more swollen throughout the day. A limping physio at work doesn't look good. Went to the orthopedic emergency department to let the doctor have a look at my toe.The x-ray didn't show any fracture so I am happy. Though the angle of my toe is not nice, but nothing new there. Maybe surgery is necessary sooner rather than later? I really hope I don't need it. Fell asleep straight away as I got home, overslept past dinner time and felt really confused waking up. Taped my toe into a better position before I went to bed for real and got some pain relief.

The old real "backbana" according to Lina B. The one that was used back in the days in Linné, -03 and -04 or so. Lots of green to fight through but also beautiful wee bits along the water. I kept up with Lina up until about half way when I lost sight of her on a downhill slope. Yet again a reminder of what a chicken I am whilst running downhill. I tried to run faster on the following flat and then the following hill to catch her. On the next downhill I thought I'd try to run faster and not be such a chicken, leaning forward a bit more. I had great speed for a while and then lost control completely, tripped and fell forward still at great speed. I fell on something that hit me in my stomach and I couldn't breathe properly for a while. I had hit my knee too but the worst thing was that my left toe went into a large dorsiflexion as I fell on it, my left toe that isn't perfect to start with with it's hallux valgus deformation :( I had to limp back. Cycling home on my mtb pedalling mostly with my right leg. At home I was still stubborn enough to decide to fix my green bike that I'd purchased a new front wheel for today (the wheel that broke when I crashed the week before o-ringen, but that's another story and another set of bruises). It took me the rest of the evening since I wasn't being very talented at it and I didn't hit my bed until midnight - bad idea in many ways but my green bike is rolling again!

Back to work today, one week of holiday was not enough. Ran to work in the morning feeling fast + ran back home in the afternoon feeling slow.

Morning run with Patrick along the backbanan ridge, a wee bit along the river. Climbed the monster hill and the rope hill before running back. I lose so much more time to Patrick running downhill compared to running uphill.

In the afternoon time to say good bye after a great week. I feel so empty.
