As Ian sipped on his gin and tonic he couldn’t help but be frustrated by the presence of Bryan at what would be an otherwise pleasant and joyful celebration. He decided the only way to overcome his frustration was to drown his sorrows. After all, a good few drinks and lost memories in the pub a few weeks back had done no harm in helping Ian rediscover his ability to run once again.
So Ian promptly proposed a game of
Battleshots, a drinking game he learned from a group of (very hungover) students prior to one of the Russian lectures he had given earlier on in the week. Sheila thought this was a great idea and helped Ian set up the game on the kitchen table. Ever prepared for a raucous house party, Ian revealed a bottle of his favourite Beluga vodka from his jacket, which he had somehow managed to hide from Kate since bringing it back from Russia following a conference in Moscow earlier on in the month.
