EBOR district event at Skipwith Common

Possibly the worst I have orienteered all year. Picked up the map and thought it was going to be really easy. Got confused by the track before no 1 and ened up losing ~1 min. Was OK until 6 where I misread a line of trees for a huge patch of green. Found a control on another marsh and took ages to relocate. Lost 2.5 mins. Then brain switched off on no9. Ran straight past and had to go back. 1.5 mins lost. Marcus caught me here. Stayed with him til 10 then we went passed 11. I started reading the map to 12 so went there whilst he found 11. 3 mins lost. Then cocked up 13 pretty badly. 1 min lost. Rest was OK but not great

Was running pretty well, just felt a bit tired across he marshes. Craney did 46:06. Taking away the 9 mins of stupid mistakes, I would've done 48.

Hopefully next week will be much better.

ShUOC series round two at Longshaw
Good course on a not so good map
Ran pretty well, got confused on 7 with the vegetation and the control being in the wrong place. Then went the wrong side of the wall on 8 so had to go back round.
Was running OK.

Was knackered after the 1st set but really got into it on the 2nd. Got about 30m further on the 2nd 1.5 min.

got a TASS meeting later so wanted to do something during the day
turned out a couple of flatmates were going to the gym so went to join them
