Orienteering warm up/down 15:16 [1] 2.3 km (6:38 / km)
shoes: Walsh PB Ultra Extreme

warm up to start; felt quite good.

Orienteering 1:18:07 [5] 13.48 km (5:48 / km) +350m 5:08 / km
shoes: Walsh PB Ultra Extreme

again, knew I was going to struggle with the fitness. just wanted to stay positive and have a clean run. Wasn't as clean as I wanted it to be, but was OK. just got knackered towards the end and lost about 2 mins from 22 onwards so a bit annoying.

will update details later

managed to do that in the most part.

2. there were tracks to the control but didn't look up enough for the platform lost about 15s
3. good
4. good
5. started off on a good line but then drifted left to the path. thought i'd gone far enough but hit a small depression. relocated well though.
6. good
7. bit hesitant on route choice but executed well
8. main hill on the course. legs just couldn't get moving. was slipping all over the place. lost about 30s

tankersley spring cup
wasn't really sure how to go into this considering another long break
started off steadily but then took the very scenic route to number two after rushing out of 1. then proceeded to miss it when I got there. probs about 5 mins lost overall.
3 - had bin there so good
4 - quite hesistant but had a good line
5 - didn't look hard enough as was standing right next to it
6 - good
7- bit slow out of 6 but good
8 - good
9-good
10 - good
11 - good
12 - good
13 - part of buttefly so had already bin there

15- ok but hesistant
16 - bit of a wonky line but ok
17 - was chasing dave. didn't really have the pace but saw him punching
18 - good
19 - good
20 - rushed off down the big reentrant. took a while to realise. relocated but had no confidence so went back to the main track (turned out I was abotu 10m away.)

quite pleased with the nav (except the rc for 2). lost quite a lot of time on running speed but was to be expected really.
