But yeah, the time here sucks. I'm not sure what happened. It was districts, and confusing, and some people fell at the beginning of the race. I think I just died a bunch on the hills, and didn't make up any time going down 50th. My lunch also wasn't sitting well, and though I didn't notice it while I was racing, it was apparent before and after, so maybe that had something to do with it. Ah well.

Jake, Connor, Clarkie and maybe Whitney (she's an individual alternate) are going to state. Mark died with like 200 left to go, and had to limp walk to the finish line, (He still got 17:44 or so.) but if he'd finished normally, the boy's team would've gone to state. We got 6th by 8 points. Ah well, cest la vie.

Run from school to home. Skipped XC today because I had a bunch of work, but had to go with mother to pick up the car from the autobody shop, except they did a shitty job so we're going to take it back. Distance is from Google maps because my Garmin didn't acquire sats until a bit into the run.

I've decided that when logging orienteering races, I'm going to log actual distance which I ran, and let the splits have the logged distance ran, so that my shoes will have a more accurate distance traveled account. (I'll use the listed climb because the Garmin isn't accurate, and I don't log time most of the time.)

NEOC Day Two

I basically made 20 minutes of being slow/mistakes on the first 5 controls, and then flip-flop-followed Tori for the other 10, which ended up being reasonably clean.
