Note

State of the Drewnion

I think I tried to do too much during January, so I'm going to go on a 4/1 or 5/1 schedule for the foreseeable future, depending on how I feel. I'm not sure how much cross-trainingy stuff I'm going to do... My quads are what's giving me the most trouble, so I'm not sure how much biking would help. I think I should try to swim, but it's difficult to do those kind of workouts without a large group of people. People look at you funny if you try to go aquajogging in just a normal pool. =/

Looking back at my training log, I think it was GANAV that did me in... I had basically two weeks of light training coming off my break in December, and then two almost 30 mile running equivalent (I count bike miles as equal to about twice running miles) weeks. Bleh.

Strength - Core 15:00 [3]

Note
(rest day)

I ran yesterday, but I didn't log it because my watch is being fail.

I got in to the University of Rochester, and am a finalist for the GEAR program - it's a 5 year combined bachelor's/master's program for Computer Engineering (in my case). Woot!

Note

Meet today was canceled. Apparently there was an issue with getting the maps printed. I think it will end up being rescheduled, but no firm word on that yet.

It was wonderful out today. There's nothing like getting ridiculously high from running to cheer you up. =D

I have workouts for the past week that are forthcoming - my watch is being stupid and not putting them on the internet.

Note

I'd like to throw the following quote out into the ether:

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
-Wayne Gretzky

As long as you're not setting yourself up for failure, go for it. Seriously.

Skiing 5:45:00 [1]
shoes: Punchout XD

Vail Day 5
My brother and I skied each lift on the mountain* exactly once! It ended up being 24 lifts.

(*We only counted the ones that had a vertical rise of more than 100 feet. We figured we could skip the magic carpets and such that the ski school uses.)
