Running 1:46:00 [3]

Waitaks run with Kate and Maja, perfect pace and managed to feel good and chat the whole way (minus a few big hills). Really enjoy doing long runs with other people and such a nice day for it!!

Running 43:00 [3]

running to and from the domain and then the warm up before drills, my body did not appreciate Ayr St in the early morning

Running drills 1:00:00 [2]

first time doing these, was really good and awesome to do it as a big group, would feel a bit stupid doing these by myself. Kate's ones up the hill killed my quads

Running 38:00 [3]

25mins running to orienteering and 13 home, took a bit longer to get there as I just assumed it was starting at the grandstand as per usual...it wasn't

Orienteering 52:00 [3]

lots of hesitating after the first half as I couldn't decide if I wanted to keep going or not. Have worn my jandals too much walking around the last few days and now have a serious blister which I kept feeling during the run but ignoring, whoops!

Running 42:00 [3]

round out to the harbour and back home via the rose gardens, wimped out on doing hills as my leg is still pretty sore from the weekend when going down hill. Loving having the option of a flat run which Dunedin didn't offer

Running tempo 12:00 [4]

along the waterfront, felt reso good

Running 43:00 [3]

round orakei, very very easy as legs are feeling the weekends races. Went to the physio afterwards and had to grit my teeth the whole time, as he kept telling me no pain no gain!!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Orienteering race 44:48 [4]

middle, cool map. Yet again it's the fitness and lack of map reading that let me down. Really enjoyed the forest at the start but takes me ages to register what I'm looking at on the map and work out my route etc. Legs were so smashed on the farm and long grass bits that Imogene was often faster than me even though she was "walking". Overall a good weekend and pretty much what I expected in terms of performance. Had hopped I wasn't quite so far behind but when I think about how long I've had off and that I'm pretty much starting from scratch it makes sense. Have a fair bit of work to do but for once I have the time to do it and after the weekend I'm even more excited/motivated about getting back into it
