Orienteering race 48:25 [5]

auckland relays at hobsonville, I like having good competition!! Kate, Immy and I were in a wee pack with a few boys for a while until we dropped them. Was so good to have others at a similar level to race against. Almost managed to get ahead but as I had different splits from Immy and Kate was a bit hard to tell. Imogene passed me on the way to the last control as I dithered around. Seemed to be hesitating alot so going to try and work on making decisions and sticking with them!!

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3]

don't actually know how long it was but close enough!

Running 1:57:00 [3]

domain, mt eden, one tree hill and mt st john. Felt very very slow and new garmin confirmed it but meh that's what long slow runs are all about. Was comfortable the whole way which is more important and so nice and sunny!!!

Orienteering 1:00:00 [3]

out at woodhill again, finally feel like I'm starting to get used to having a map in hand. Made sure I had a plan for all of them after the first muck up which seemed to work well. Slowly starting to remember how to orienteer which is exciting but still have quite a way to go

Running warm up/down 42:00 [3]

round the waterfront, it has lots of road but think this is a good recovery loop for me as it's fairly flat and don't really have to think as I run

Running tempo 12:00 [4]

steady pace, bit of a tail wind which was nice for my tired legs. Legs getting more used to running which is good

Orienteering 1:26:00 [3]

out at woodhill, very good fun. Ran alot of it with Kate and Maja which was really good for working on not getting distracted by other people, which has always been an issue with me. Lots of things to work on but so nice to be in the forest!
