Plan was a hill session and thought it would be nice to run in the dusting of snow on the Gargunnock Hills, so planned on 20x1min hard/1min easy, up to the cairn and along to the trigpoint. On a good day might get there soon enough that the last couple of reps would be on the descent.
Misjudged that!
Snow pretty deep even on the track after the first few, and calf deep once there was no track. Combined with a strong headwind, nice. Persevered but higher up in the deep snow the 1min efforts were a struggle even to keep a running motion, the slowest one was 15min/km!
So more like resistance training than speedwork, unsurprisingly the 20reps only just got me past the final wall/gate rather than anywhere near the summit. Turned round there but still finished pretty much in the dark anyway.
