WOC test long men's course (on M1, parallel course to the GBR men on M2).

Wanted a longish run without running too hard, this seemed like it would fit the bill nicely and I managed to get my hands on a spare run on the morning (thanks Lars).

First time using 1:15,000 for a long long time - everything was much further and much bigger than I was expecting, took quite a while to adjust. Only meant to take 2.5hrs but did a fair bit of wandering about in the first part of the course...

Good fun and let me do some interesting spectating of the Swiss selection race over the second part of the course.

Hmmm. Not really a longish run. Not even all a tarmac run. Low HR and low pace too.

But not getting out until 7.30pm meant this had to suffice, and tired legs from outset meant it was probably plenty. Was actually going to do a bit less but tempted by the weather and views to stay out longer.

Longest run for more than five weeks in any case.....not exactly standard marathon prep!
