Up early for a day in London. PF not good.

Home knackered but in time for a gentle run in the remnants of a glorious evening. Kept it reasonably short because of foot but too nice to avoid run altogether. A little brisker for the section (or should that be segment) at the far end.

Dumyat from Pendreich car park (with wind behind), then kept going down the east side to the main track and turned round for the steep re-ascent. Into a headwind now of course, nice. Then back to the car. Some actual Scottish sunshine meant loads of people were out on the hill, good to see.

PF worse again this morning after running yesterday, need to start taking some action to sort it before the Scottish.

Early start for a day trip to Reading. Just what I needed after Maddy Moss. Particularly as mild plantar fasciitis has been niggling over the past two weeks and perhaps unsurprisingly was a bit worse this morning.

Maddy Moss Mash.
Haven't done this for a few years and didn't do too well last time I did it....didn't do too well this time either!
Struggling a little right from the start, and Hollie and Charlotte came past once we crossed the burn and got onto the climb proper. Jase slowly reeled me in too and was past before the top of The Law, had nearly a minute on me by the top of Ben Cleuch.

Persevered but as ever in a hill race I lost a few places on the descents, made some back on the short climb to Andrew Gannel but it is a long descent to the finish so lost them all again. Had a gap ahead and behind near the end which was relaxing.....or would have been had I not then taken a bad line for the last bit of the descent and started to think Hugh B might be closing in! Fortunately no harm done :)

New record for Kris as Kris-GG-Spongey-Jonny and Hollie-Charlotte dominated the prizes for the GB team. Steve F in 6th and third FVO runner wasn't far behind Jonny either.

Big FVO turnout - ten runners plus Fanni, Kirsten and Shminty spectating, and Gareth and Catriona marshalling.
