Onto the Carse for a first outing on Chalmerston Road for a long time! First outing for the new shoes too. Such a flat run that Garmin registered zero metres of climb!

6km warmup then 1km tempo/4mins steady/20mins Moneghetti session/warmdown back to car. Session actually 21mins as before the second 60s I had to extend recovery for a tractor (25sec extra) and before the third I had to do the same for two horses (35sec extra). Rural road running problems :)

Long run with Roger. Dreich enough day for helly and jacket, gloves too. Felt we were moving at a decent pace considering....faster than I would have been solo for sure, and also faster than I managed for the last 10km at Boston in 2016....

Back from Kippen via gun club and Wrightpark, extra bit down to the Forth and back at the end. Sluggish on the steep muddy start but going more nicely once the gradient, surface, and wind direction were all mostly in my favour :)

Filthy windy wet night and no chance to get out until late evening, but persuaded myself I have had enough days off in January and really should at least tick the box. Stuck to the tarmac to keep the water no more than ankle-deep anywhere....
