Week Four: Cairnoch Hill and Carleatheran trigs.

This week’s new trig at Cairnoch Hill, the direct approach proved pretty tough through felling, plantation and massive tussocks, had to walk for a while. Easier way off to the west for a bonus castle visit on the descent to Carron Valley. Then a tough slog into freezing strong headwind all the way up (7-ish) to a second trig at Carleatheran, arms
and hands got very cold in just a t-shirt. Then home via the Gargunnock hill race high point at the flag.

A good outing!
