Week Six: Knock Hill and Dumyat trigs
Had wondered about doing these as two separate runs but quite fancied the full circuit rather than returning another week, and thought it was feasible - especially once I had sussed a route using the dodgy ramshackle dangerous bridge early on, so that the first trig was only 12k away.
The woodland at Knock Hill (between BofA and Keir roundabout) was a delightful sea of bluebells - albeit that made for a slippery final climb in road shoes!
Made it to summit of Dumyat in 1hr 59mins (moving time not elapsed time...) thanks to a nice strong tail wind...although of course that meant I then turned for home knowing it was into the wind all the way. Ho hum.
Various FVO people spied en route, Beth Clayton on Chalmerston Road, Eik Maxwells at the reservoir, Gareth BJ just setting out from home for his own run.
Not sure whether I will manage a Week Seven solely on foot....

Easy run with a successful bid to score the KOM on a segment in the village. Came home to find that during the duration of my run my (not large) tally of KOMs had gone down by one rather than up by one....
