Back up to the cairn. Snow crust still not hard enough to run over, but this time took on the run/stumble/wade through it towards the trig as far as the wall/gate. That bit took nearly twice as long as normal! Then struggled downhill through it for five mins, after that all okay to run home.

Reservoirs loop plus cairn/flag. No snow lower down but more by the reservoirs and then proper snow higher up. Tired heavy legs from yesterday’s Zwift exertions but nonetheless planned to run along to Carleatheran trig from the cairn...but even at the cairn the snow was too deep to run so quickly thought better of that plan!

Good tough race with Mike and Marky for most of it until I had a brief turbo issue just as getting dropped on the lap 3 (of 4) main climb. Almost caught back to Marky!

Turfs to the south of Stirling, luckily the heavy rain eased a bit to allow navigation on phone!
Enjoyed my run round, always get a bit confused trying to stitch together routes through the footpaths and alleyways round Braehead, Broomridge, Bannockburn, and Brucefields - maybe a bit more to grips with it all after this. A little bit anyway....

Dropped in Stirling so could head to Dunblane to collect car. Streets pretty frosty and slippery, did a big walking loop round Stirling collecting turfs until the pavements were a bit more running friendly, then ran (jogged with rucksack) up there via most of the other turfs en route.

5hrs 49 mins in total but only started running halfway...splits on garmin say that 'this is about halfway through if I begin running now' was pretty much an exact 50/50 split on time!

My car sounds a lot quieter now the wheel bearing is sorted :)
